Froggy's Used Appliances - Ponca City Oklahoma
Bottom Line: Part of my Ponca City Oklahoma used appliance order was missing but they promised to get it to me. First it was "in the shop somewhere" (aka: the pig stye/rat's nest) and they'd have it ready when I picked up the used appliances. Next it was "not in the shop so they had to order it" when I called them a month after getting settled in my new home in Oklahoma City, about 2 hours away by moving van. The next several calls over the next few months were met with variations on "it's on order/backorder/didn't ship/getting it from another supplier". It's been about 6 months and they've never called me. I've called to check on things, long distance, since they miss their 'promises' every time. I guess I'm done calling them...
All in all what'd I get out of this experience?
- Froggy's Used Appliances in Ponca City Oklahoma is not the place to go for used appliances
- Froggy, the man, the owner, the used car salesman, has a problem making accurate promises
- Don't pay Froggy cash in advance, pay him after he has safely loaded the items of purchase into your moving van, better yet SHOP ELSEWHERE!
- Good lesson on how not to serve cutomers
Some details for the not already gone:
I bought a washer and dryer along with a refrigerator from Froggy's Used Appliances in Ponca City Oklahoma about 6 months ago. I paid cash in advance since I was moving out of town and was going to send a family member by with a moving van to pick it up.
As it turned out I went by with the moving van to pick it up on the day we were moving. I got to the store at the agreed time and there was one young lady there. My appliances were still jumbled among all the others and the young lady was not the physical type so we had to move no small amount of Froggy's inventory around just to get at my appliances to take them out. That was clue number one that they didn't much care. But we moved all their inventory back after loading my used appliances into my moving van, the young lady was kind enough and we felt sorry for her, left alone and clueless at the rat's nest/pig stye. What suckers! =)
Needless to say the young lady knew nothing about the missing part (the kickplate for the regrigerator tha covers the uglies on the bottom) and she called Mr Froggy on the tele. He said he couldn't find it, they'd mail it to me and she took my address. First of many accurate statement problems. Some might say lies, but man, who knows? Maybe Mr Froggy is a busy scatterbrain. Well, I called several times and got several entirely un-accurate promises, I guess yould could say lies, ok, lies.
In retrospect I'd say it went pretty badly, and I shouldn't have paid cash up front.
