The entire Mabry Family Photos Stash is here. Below you'll find the most recent stuff, I think, if you're lucky, and I'm feeling organized. Good luck to you (or just go the gallery root and surf it all).
Annual Easter Extravaganza put on by Rayburn and Carolyn somewhere's in Edmond. Used to be a farm, been the house for a while, this year was a first in a church gymnasium! Lots of fun and good to see everyone again as usual.
The kids all had a blast and a hard time finding those well hidden eggs. They couldn't be more out in the open. It's just crazy. Blind little things they are.
Big family birthday bash at Hannah's house. We had family in from everywhere, Maguhluh, Grandad, Nana, Papa, Mary and Fred, Trish Josh, Benjamin and Amy, Mom, Dad, Brother and even Sean, Amy, Les and Ashley made it by. The house was crowded and warm but it was a lovely day outside and we all gorged on cake and ice cream.
Hannah still isn't much interested in ripping open presents but she seems to appreciate the fact that there's a bunch of new toys in the house now.
Happy birthday Hannah, we love you!
The Winter 2004 repository!
After Christmas night-time romp in downtown Oklahoma City. We went to look for a free canal ride as advertised in the paper, but alas, there was a printing error and the poor man driving the boats was inundated with free ride seekers. He was torn between his boss and an angry mob. So we shamed him wih our pitifully disappointed children then promised to write bad things about him on our website (I lie, he was very sad to have to tell us to buzz off).

Christmas eve spent at ma and pa's with the family and family extended. General rough housing and eating of the Christmas goodies as always. I think the ediballs have passed down to a new generation to handle, and that's, ok. Sean is as fine a sausage ball manufacturer as any I've seen and next year we will come early in order to make peanut butter balls, I reckon those take a little more to do. For what is Christmas without ediballs?!
After arriving home late Christmas eve we loaded the sleeping kids into bed and got to the task of putting out the presents. The kids woke up to a living room fullla new goodies so extreme that Hannah actually forgot to utter the word "Barney" for at least an hour, sweet.
Thanks to all the family for the wonderful presents and presence, we wish we could have seen everyone, and I'm sure everyone feels the same. Merry Christmas!
Tigger and Piglet on Halloween. We actually got to go back to our old church for the Fall Festival and check out their newly built family life center, sweet it was, and plenty of candy and kids in goofy costumes.
Jacob's first season of soccer saw him go from standing motionless in game one to following the pack rather well in game two, to taking wicked good throw ins and goal kicks in game three up to the actually touching of the ball from the run of play in the final game of the season. The boy's entirely passive and shy on the field with new kids but he's figuring it all out. If he played with his team like he does with his dad or cousins there'd be no one that could stop him :)
It's December 16th as I upload some photos and type this here fluff, the Christmas bunch should be good stuff, as always, with the wee ones. They dig it. Got some shots in there already of our completely homemade Christmas tree consisting of cardboard foil covered star, construction paper chain with glitter marker designs, puter paper snowflakes and of course, candy canes. Is there no end to the begging for candy canes?! Christmas gallery soon to be sure.
It'd been almost four years since I'd seen my grandad and it just came up over lunch that a friend was flying near there and could drop us off the very next day. It was a preposterous enough idea that it got my attention and I actually considered it. Then Karen said what the heck and we were off to pack.
Sure was a great trip. Short, fast paced, but packed full of fun things and people.
The pics posted include everything from our flight with the Nickles', to the cabin we stayed in at the Chinook Lodge in South Fork Colorado, to Colorado views to the Grandad hisself. Enjoy.
We took the whole 3 days and did something together as a family. Hannah had some kind of crud and I dad ended up with it but we had a great time nonetheless.
Saturday we went to Tulsa to the new aquarium and saw sharks and petted (patted? pat? petted.) sting rays in a touch tank (stingers removed). Then we stayed in a(n awful) hotel Saturday night, Jacob didn't care, for some reason he reeeeally loves hotels. Big hot tub freak now too.
Sunday we went to Ponca City and Jacob and I went camping with Eric and Joseph Bell while Karen hung out with the Bell ladies in the civilized world. We saw all kinds of wildlife and heard even more. The locusts were deafening where we pitched our tents but they shut it down at dusk, that was thoughtful of them. I was dizzy by that time. They had a nice little pond out at this campground (McFadden Cove at Kaw lake, recently re-opened!) and we tooled around it on canoes and did some cane pole fishin for catfish, got a few bites but nothing in the boat. Fun stuff.
This'd be where we'll throw all the photos that happen to get taken during the summer of 2004. Yes, getting lazy, but it's a good way to keep tabs on kid growth really, if you think about it.
Fear FrankenPepper!
If you can think of any pictures I should take of the kids that will be good leverage on them later in life, particularly the teenage years, go ahead and contact me and let me know your thoughts. I figure FrankenPepper is a good start.
Rayburn and Carolyn Whitson's 100th annual (guesstimate) Easter family thing. I Jason married into this lot. I like em fine and the food is a definitely contributor. Next year, more food pictures.
Extremely early in the Spring, as in not spring, we had a trout derby at Dolese Park Pond where me and Jacob went, and caught nothing. We had fun on the playground equipment however. Then we've got some family at the park pics and Jacob hunting bugs in the back yard pics (amongst weeds, no, flowers, that's it, flowers). Enjoy, some really good shots in this lot, should have a few printed!
Volumes less in quality and quantity as compared to Jacob's first but you know, extenuating circumstances and all... We had a good time and Hannah did too we think. She grunted a lot, meaning: "More Ice Cream Please". It's nice to be closer to Karen's family now, that way the party's are bigger and badder and noisier and stuff.
We've got the crazy kids ripping open gifts shots, some passion play kids and live animal shots, angels, snowmen, family, donkeys, all that. If you got here from a search engine after searching for any of the preceding keywords, but in perverse arrangement, well, sorry. Maybe you were looking for this? Jesus is the reason for the season! w00t!
At the time of this posting here Jacob's body of work is not very large. I am posting here tho because I expect it to grow continually from this point forward. It's great watching the kids learn to use their motor skills to control crayons and the like. Jacob already sees very well but it can be a bit frustrating for him to get it down on paper. There's pleasure in the trying tho. I think he's quite good too, amazingly so, possibly the best to ever put marker/macaroni to paper. Don't bother emailing me to dispute this assertion, you're wrong, and heartless.
